Is it Possible to Write a Good Essay at Once?
Writing a good essay usually takes a rough draft or two to get the main concept clarified and detailed. Often during essay writing you want to take your time and think about your ideas. You want to make sure what you want readers to know comes across clearly. In some cases, depending on the length of the essay you may be able to write it once and most of your ideas will be easy to understand. For most people they need to review their content again and decide whether to make changes or leave as is.
Have a Firm Idea What You Want Readers to Know about Your Topic
If you are trying to write a good essay at one time you need to have your thoughts in order. This means you need to understand what you want readers to know and how to present it without messing up the message. Think about your topic and why you chose it to write about. What did you find interesting that you felt others need to know? What did you learn when researching your topic that will make a difference in your written content?
Pay Close Attention to Organization and Structure of Ideas
When you want to get your message across without having to worry about going back over your content again, you need to pay close attention to how your paper is being written. Review your ideas and where you want them to appear. Keep in mind the basic structure of your essay including the introduction, body and conclusion. What information would appear in each section? How would your form sentences and paragraphs to ensure your content has a consistent flow and transition from one idea to the next?
Take the Time to Revise
After you have written your paper from start to finish you should read it. Make sure your information comes across the way you intended. Your information should be easy to read and ideas should be concise and clear. Hopefully you won’t have too many mistakes and errors, but this is the best time to make changes before submission. You can have someone else read your paper and give insight on what they think. Do they understand the message you wanted to achieve? What changes would they recommend or do they think the essay is fine just the way it is?
